Department of Islamic Studies holds successful 2nd BOS Meeting!

On 12th February 2026, the Department of Islamic Studies, University of Jhang, successfully convened its 2nd Board of Studies (BOS) Meeting. Esteemed external and internal members participated and provided valuable feedback:

• Dr. Zahida Shabnum (Lahore College for Women University)


• Dr. Tanvir Qasim (University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore)


• Dr. Shaista Jabeen (Govt. Graduate College, Jhang)

The meeting approved and finalized several key agenda items, contributing significantly to the department’s academic development:

• Scheme of Studies for BS Islamic Studies (batches 2023–2027, 2024–2028, 2025–2029)


• Sirah course for students of other departments


• Understanding of the Holy Quran I & II courses


• Department logo


• Research journal


• Thesis format guidelines


• Internship plan

The meeting was efficiently facilitated by Department In-charge Fakhra Jamil, with Abdul Manan serving as Focal Person and Saima Noureen providing support.

The department expresses deep gratitude to Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Faheem Aftab for his continuous support and guidance, and extends thanks to the IT team for excellent technical assistance.
